Miami Dade College’s Freedom Tower Goes Green in Honor of Girl Scout Centennial
Miami, March 7, 2012 - A brilliant shade of green will glow across the Miami skyline on Monday, March 12, as Miami Dade College’s National Historic Landmark Freedom Tower helps celebrate the Centennial Anniversary of Girl Scouts of the USA. Founded by Juliette Gordon Low in Savannah, Georgia, on March 12, 1912, Girl Scouts of the USA has provided girls with opportunities for fun and friendship while fostering the development of leadership skills and self-esteem for 100 years.
