What: Each troop is asked to bring completed paper bags to the food drive. At the event, each girl will be coloring and decorating the bags. It is our goal to be able to provide for 200 families in the South Miami Community. Snacks will be provided. All troops are asked to bring completed paper bags or reusable bag (PLEASE NO PLASTIC BAG) of the following: 1 Box of: Stuffing (6 oz), Instant Potatoes (19 oz), Corn Muffin Mix (19 oz), Brownies (19 oz), Gravy Packet, 1 Can of: Yams (28 oz), Corn (15 oz), Peas (15 oz), Green beans (15 oz), Cranberries (sauce) 15 oz) & Fruit Cocktail (15 oz). When: Friday, November 16th from 6:30 – 8:00pm Where: South Miami Community Center (5800 SW 66 St) Why: Leaders, this is a Community Service project that you can use in the “Leadership Journeys” at all levels. The goal with this activity is to show the girls how to help others in the community and our duty as Girl Scouts to help those in need.
