Gold & Silver Award Training (3:00 PM - 5:00 PM)

Who: Junior, Cadette, Senior and Ambassador

What: A two-hour training. Juniors who plan on working on their Bronze Award are welcome to join us the first 30 minutes.

When: Saturday, May 4th from 3pm- 5pm.

Where: South Miami Little House (6609 SW 60th Street, Miami, FL)

Why: This is the prerequisite training for all Girl Scouts prior to beginning the proposal process for their Silver and Gold Awards as mandated by GSUSA.

How: Complete a Registration form and send to Lois Auerbach.

Who: Girl Scouts receiving awards and their troops, friends, family &community dignitaries.

What: Our annual award ceremony to honor our Girl Scouts who have earned our highest awards.

When: Sunday, May 5th , 3pm-5:30pm

Where: First United Methodist Church, 536 Coral Way, Coral Gables, FL 33134 

Why: Our annual award ceremony to honor our Girl Scouts who have earned our highest awards.

How: Questions contact Sarah Wach (swach@girlscoutsfl.org).

Invitations will be sent out in the spring to girls who have earned these awards.

Who: Daisy, Brownie and Junior

What: Dance the night away with your special prince (dad/grandfather/uncle/brother)! This year’s ‘‘Fairy Forest’’ theme reminds us to be ‘‘green’’ fairies who protect our earth.

When: Friday, May 10th from 6:30- 8:30pm

Where: TBA, Lower Keys

Why:  Girls will complete various parts of Manners Badge.

How: Complete a Registration form and send to Lois Auerbach.

What: Older Girl Encampment- Explore trails and build your own adventures. Discover new things about Camp fire cooking and other fun outdoor activities. 

When: Friday, May 17th 7pm- Sunday, May 19th 12pm

Where: Oleta River State Park (3400 Northeast 163rd Street Miami, FL 33160-4460) 

Why: Girl will complete various parts of the Trailblazing & Adventurer Badges. 

How: Complete a Registration form and send to Lois Auerbach.

What: Join the instructors of the Museum of Contermporary Art’s Women on the Rise! Program to esplore how women artist create work that responds to issues of enviromental and social justice; take part on art project(s) and explore career opportunities in the field of visual arts.

When: Saturday,  May 25th 1pm - 5pm

Where: Museum of Contemporary Art (Boca)(7700 NE 125 Street Miami FL) 

Why:Girl will meet the requirements for the SowWhat? and Justice Awards.
